POLO CUP

BENELUX

our upcoming RACES

The 2027 Polo Cup Benelux season is currently being finalised. There will be 6 race weekends across Belgium and the Netherlands, with rounds taking place at selected circuits.

Every weekend follows the same format: free practice to build rhythm, qualifying that rewards precision over a single lap, and races decided by racecraft and consistency. Because the cars are equal, the field stays close.

ABOUT POLO CUP BENELUX

Polo Cup Benelux was founded with one clear goal: to create a professional, competitive and affordable racing series where the driver makes the difference. The championship is raced exclusively with identical Volkswagen Polo Cup race cars, developed and built by Volkswagen Motorsport South Africa. Because every car on the grid is technically equal, success is not determined by who has the biggest development budget. It is determined by driving talent, setup work and teamwork, the things that should decide a race result in the first place.By motorsport standards, the Volkswagen Polo Cup offers an exceptionally attractive price-to-performance ratio. Both the purchase price of the car and the running costs sit at a level that clearly sets the Polo apart from many other modern race cars. You get a fully developed, professional race car without requiring the budget associated with much more expensive racing categories.

From 2027, Polo Cup Benelux brings this formula to the Benelux, with six race weekends at exciting circuits. The Cup is open to ambitious young talents, experienced drivers and professional racing teams alike.Cost transparency is an important part of our philosophy. We do not claim that motorsport is cheap. What we do want to demonstrate is that serious racing at a high level can remain accessible. We aim to provide clear insight upfront into the costs of competing and, most importantly, into how much racing, competition and professional support you receive in return. Our goal is to build a strong and evenly matched grid where close racing takes centre stage.

THE CAR
BUILT TO RACE

The Volkswagen Polo Cup is a purpose-built race car, developed and built by Volkswagen Motorsport South Africa. It was not converted from a road car as an afterthought — it was designed from the ground up for one-make racing.
With approximately 320 hp and a race weight of around 1,170 kg, it delivers serious performance while remaining predictable and rewarding to drive at the limit. Power goes through a sequential racing gearbox, and the car runs professional motorsport components throughout.

PROFESSIONAL MOTORSPORT TECHNOLOGY

The Polo features a MoTeC ECU and data logging system, giving drivers and teams detailed insight into both the performance of the car and the performance of the driver. Braking points, throttle traces, minimum corner speeds and gear selection are all there to be reviewed and compared.

All cars are technically identical and modifications are strictly controlled. This keeps the competition fair and ensures performance cannot simply be bought through technical development. An integrated airjack system is also available, allowing fast, professional lifts in the pit lane.

MAXIMUM MOTORSPORT FOR YOUR BUDGET

One of the biggest strengths of the Polo Cup is its price-to-performance ratio. By motorsport standards, you get an exceptional amount of race car for your investment.

Spare parts are also very affordable by motorsport standards, which makes maintenance, repairs and potential accident damage far more manageable across a full season. A weekend of contact does not have to end your championship.

The philosophy is simple: limit unnecessary development costs, and spend the available budget on what matters most, racing.
